Biking: Two Rivers - Orwell to Deben(short route) Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: 18.83 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 12.32 mile (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Friday 8th April – bike **** – Short two rivers including lunch at Landguard – sunny periods. The strong winds of the last couple of days has moved away and we started cloudy but things improved around lunch time as the sun made an appearance and once again, we were treated to some amazing big Suffolk skies:) Usual morning at home doing my daily exercises, I have defiantly improved my back, now just got to sort my heel out which continues to be a pain! With our picnic lunch packed we take the usual route through Langer Park to Landguard, I detour to the view point to check the boat action just as a container ship nears its berth, then join Mag on the wooden jetty sleepers to enjoy our roll with stunning views across the River Orwell with some top clouds. The large dredger is working and a small Dutch navy boat comes in. Had a lovely relaxing time before returning through the nature reserve finally reaching the prom with Easter holiday makers enjoying a nice afternoon. Mag turns off to Lidl while I continue once again to the ferry taking the short route back. Another nice day here in Felixstowe, tomorrow there might be just enough breeze for a foil with next Monday/Tuesday also looking promising? Photo Album here |
